TRANSPARENT FLOOR COATING
VKFLEX LIQUID FLOOR 2K is a hybrid resin-based, two-component, transparent and glossy floor coating with mechanical and chemical resistance. Thanks to its UV resistance and durability against outdoor conditions, it does not yellow and is scratch-resistant. VKFLEX LIQUID FLOOR 2K adheres strongly to the applied surface and maintains its durability for many years. With its waterproofing properties, it can be applied to surfaces such as ceramics, tiles, granite, and marble in wet areas. It can also be used on painted surfaces to protect the paint, keep it clean, and provide a glossy finish.
The surface to be treated with VKFLEX LIQUID FLOOR 2K must be free of dust, dirt, oil, and other foreign substances to ensure strong adhesion. Any loose substrates or deep cracks should be identified and necessary repairs should be carried out. To ensure that ceramic and tile joints look clean after application, it is recommended to clean or renew them beforehand. For very glossy surfaces, sanding is recommended to achieve a strong mechanical bond.
VKFLEX LIQUID FLOOR 2K should not be applied to damp or wet surfaces. During application, the relative humidity must be below 80%, the ambient temperature should be 15-35 °C, and the surface temperature must be above +5 °C.
VKFLEX LIQUID FLOOR 2K is a two-component product. Before use, each component must be mixed separately at low speeds for 2-3 minutes. Then, Components A and B should be mixed together in the same container for another 2-3 minutes at low speed until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
The application should be performed as a single coat for non-absorbent surfaces such as ceramic, tile, and metal, and in two coats for absorbent surfaces such as joints, concrete, and natural stone, using an epoxy roller, brush, or spray equipment. The waiting time between coats must be at least 12 hours. It reaches touch-dry in 30 minutes and dust-free dry in 1 hour. Full drying occurs after 24 hours. Mechanical and chemical resistance is achieved within 3-5 days.
