SILICA-REINFORCED ELASTIC WATERPROOFING COATING

DESCRIPTION

ELASTICPOWER-250 is an elastomeric resin-based, polymer-reinforced, single-component, and ready-to-use liquid waterproofing coating with high adhesion strength. It provides full water impermeability, especially in areas with light pedestrian traffic and under-tile wet room applications. Thanks to the special mineral (silica) additives in its content, it creates a resistant and textured surface. This feature significantly increases the surface adhesion strength of coating materials such as ceramics, marble, and granite to be applied over the insulation layer.

Application Information

Surface Preparation

The application surface must be free from substances such as dust, dirt, and oil, and must be dry and clean. Loose substrates should be identified and necessary repairs should be made. Necessary precautions must be taken against standing water. Before proceeding with the ELASTICPOWER-250 application, VKFLEX BINDERCOAT-7 PRIMER should be diluted with water at a 1/5 ratio (1 part BINDERCOAT-7 Primer, 5 parts water) and applied as a single coat with a consumption of 150 gr/m². The primed surface should be left to dry for 4 hours.

Application Method

ELASTICPOWER-250 is ready to use. It should be mixed with a suitable mixer for 4-5 minutes before use, followed by application. ELASTICPOWER-250 should be applied in 2 coats using a roller or brush in perpendicular (cross) layers. The waiting time between coats should be a minimum of 2-4 hours.
